WHY ANCIENT EGYPT?

This is always the first question I receive. People genuinely want to know why I wanted to write about the gods and others believe I am trying to “steal” a culture and claim it as my own. The only culture I want to claim as my own is the era of 1999-2005. Best years ever but that is another topic and post.

So, why Egypt? In school, (well America because I am not sure about other countries) we briefly go over Egypt and then move on. The same happens in Sunday school (if you attend church). Egypt is in the background of history. No matter what you are learning about, the civilization was just there. I would question this, always wanting more. Who were they? Why has other monuments crumbled over time but not the Sphinx and Pyramids? What do the symbols mean? Besides a handful of action movies and a bunch of documentaries that go over the same information, I desired to know more. I have always wanted more knowledge, movies, and some fun books to read on the gods. And no offense to scholars and Egyptologists (but someone will be offended anyway) I believe there is more to the records left behind and honestly, I feel we will never know the truth in this life. So, what next? Make something up! That is the best freedom we have ever been given as humans. To make up what we want and live in that world.

I created what I wanted to read. I created a fictious tale that takes readers into a world of possibilities. Of what could be. I have brought the gods and goddesses to life in a humanistic way that ties in with their creation stories. IF the Egyptian Gods were first and their humans, how did this all come about? What happened? Why was Tut’s tomb the last magic every discovered? IF you want to know more, then An Egyptian Tale: Amulets of Princess Amun-Ra is where you will start.

Amulets of Princess Amun-Ra Vol 1 follows our 13-year Princess of Egypt, Izzi-Ra Urbani’s (Iz-Eye-Ra, do not call her Izzy, she does not like it) journey as she discovers her life was never hers to make plans for. Her father, the Pharaoh, has not only promised her to be wed and sent off to a smaller village to rule, but she has found herself linked to a

lower-class male named Neenho from a traitorous village and... the gods themselves! The adolescent Egyptians are told they must find the lost amulets of Amun-Ra himself which will lead to why they are linked to the gods. Not only do the gods not want the amulets found, but there is another who seeks the power of the amulets along with wanting to send Izzi and Neenho to the underworld for an early journey.

Izzi and Neenho battle their way through their lands to find the amulets before the gods and the one who seeks to murder them does.

My Egyptian Tale Series is a magical, fascinating, and fun fictious tale that takes readers on an imaginative journey through a historical setting. It is not created to claim anything such as heritage or signify any truth what-so-ever. This world I created is as fictious as Mordor but feels just as real as Frodo’s journey through it.

The monuments in today’s Egypt stand as testaments of WHAT IFS. So, heres to WHAT IF...
